Jirisan is known as a second highest mountain in South Korea, it is located between Jeolla and Gyeongsangnam-do province. We start from 진주 시외 버스 터미널 (Jinju intercity bus terminal) taking bus to Jirisan Park about 1 hour and the bus cost is 7,400 won. Then we hiking from the jirisan park to the second peak of jirisan mountain, the way was full of rock, there are many big rocks in the middle of the way so we have to jump, it was really challenging especially as i was not use a proper shoes so my feet was hurt a lot during the journey. So this is tips for you to wear a proper shoes and clothes for hiking! But along the way we can see beautiful waterfall and river, it was really a breathtaking view! After 10 hours of hiking finally we arrive at the shelter, we spent one night there and the cost is 13,000 won. The shelter provides clean water and place to cook. The next day, our goal was to hike to the top peak of Jirisan, but we were too tired so we decided to go back to the nearest village and the route is 5 kilometers, but after we arrived at the village there are no bus so we have to take a taxi from there until Jinju City, the taxi fee is about 80,000 won for 8 people. The fee is so worth it!! For people who love hiking and nature, you don’t suppose to miss this experience, prepare your belongings and go to jirisan!
