Remember that day we went to N Seoul Tower in the winter? It was so cold, the wind felt like it was cutting right through us. We took the cable car up, breathing into our hands the whole way to keep them warm. We got to the top just in time for sunset. A winter sunset feels especially clear and peaceful. The sun wasn't blinding like in summer; it was more like a big, red egg yolk slowly sinking. The sky turned from blue to pink, then to a golden color. It was incredibly beautiful! Even though we were stomping our feet to fight the cold, huddling together to watch it was the best part. When the last bit of light disappeared, all the lights of Seoul suddenly flicked on at once. In that moment, all the shivering felt completely worth it. I still remember that feeling—freezing cold, but so happy. The most important part was that I was with you all. That memory of braving the cold together and witnessing that beauty together… that’s what makes it so warm.
