About your trip

I recently visited Jikji Culture Park in Gimcheon, and it was such a pleasant experience! The park is very peaceful, and it’s a great place to relax while also learning a bit about Korean history. What makes the park special is its historical connection. It's named after Jikji, the world’s oldest printed book, which was printed in Gimcheon in 1377. There are monuments and a museum in the park where you can learn more about the history of printing in Korea. As for the nature, the park is beautiful: green pathways, a pond, and lovely lawns that are perfect for a stroll. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax, have a little picnic, or just enjoy the quiet and fresh air. The park is very clean and well-kept, and the locals are incredibly friendly. The overall atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing. If you’re ever in Gimcheon, I highly recommend visiting Jikji Culture Park! It’s a wonderful place to rest and learn a bit about Korean culture and history.

TIP

Prepare for a walk: The park is quite large, so it's a good idea to wear comfortable shoes, especially if you plan to explore all its corners. Visit the museum: Don’t miss the museum dedicated to the history of printing and Jikji. It's a great opportunity to learn more about Korea's cultural heritage. The museum isn’t very big, but it’s interesting and informative. Take time to relax: Be sure to take a break and sit on a bench by the pond or on one of the cozy lawns. The park is very peaceful, and it’s a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Best time to visit: It's best to visit in the morning or evening when the weather is more comfortable and there are fewer people. This allows you to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the park without the crowds. Bring water and snacks: If you plan to spend a long time in the park, it's a good idea to bring a bottle of water and some light snacks. There are spots in the park where you can have a picnic. Weather and seasons: The park changes throughout the year. In the summer, it’s lush and cool, while in the fall, you can enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves. Spring and summer are especially lovely with blooming flowers and trees. Take photos: Don't forget to bring a camera or smartphone. The park is beautiful in any season, and there are plenty of opportunities to take great photos, especially near monuments and natural sights. Keep the park clean: The park is always very clean, and locals take good care of it. Be sure to leave the place as tidy as you found it.
