We entered the festival around 1 pm and it was quite busy. There were many stalls with various Korean alcohols such as Soju, Makkoli or Wines and to try drinks from more popular ones, we had to wait a few minutes in a queue. Our main interest was Makkoli and we were able to try a satisfying variety of it. People working at the stalls were very helpful and willing to share their knowledge about the drinks. Not all of them could speak English, but even with my limited Korean skills, it was possible to get all the important information. After drinking the sample, there was an option to buy a bottle on the spot. My favourite were fruit-flavored Makkoli. I got to try blueberry, orange and many strawberry-flavored ones but it was Yuzu Makkoli that stole my heart. If you have a possibility to try, I advise you to not be discouraged by the long queue. It's worth a shot. Overall, I enjoyed the festival a lot and it helped me to understand Korean drinking culture better. I also found my new favorite drink that I can't wait to share with my friends.
If you get hungry, there is a food corner where you can enjoy dishes such as tteokbokki, fried chicken or takoyaki. It's a nice place to take a break from drinking alcohol!
