I recommend a good pair of walking shoes and to dress warm since I went in fall/autumn.

This was my first time in Jinju and I went for several reasons being that their mascot is one of my favorite animals: an otter! And I was also interested in exploring the nature around Jinju as well. I explored area such as Jinju Fortress, Namgaram Byeolbit Trail, Namgang Yudeung Exhibition Hall, and took did the Kim Si Min Ho Cruise on Namgang. All were so beautiful and felt very peaceful, allowing me to relax and take in the sights at my own pace. I also went to Jinju JungAng Traditional Market to try their staple and Jinju specialty: yookhwe bibimbap! Overall it was a very relaxing trip that can be enjoyed solo or with friend’s family. I definitely want to come back so I can see the Lantern Festival that’s held in October.
