Bring comfortable shoes, and a jacket for the evening. A spare battery would be useful too if you plan to take a lot of photos ๐ธ
1. Located in the Gyeongsangnam-do, Jinju is easy to access from most of cities in Korea ๐ Jinju is famous for its lantern festival and for its fortress, where one of the 3 most significant battles of the Japanese invasion happened (Imjin war). 2. We started the trip by a cruise on the Kim Si-Min-Oh ship at sunset ๐ The atmosphere on board is relaxing, with nice music and a Korean guide to explain about the cruise tour. The view is stunning and you can even see Hamo on the river. 3. Next, we visited the Yudeung Exhibition Hall which is only a few minutes away by foot. The museum shows a lot about the local culture and History. There's thematic and interactive rooms, a short movie and of course the famous lantern hall. ๐It's very peaceful and colorful. Outside, there's a small lantern area to visit to free. 4. We finished our trip at Jinjuseong Fortress, by night. All along the way up to Chokseongnu pavilion, you can see the river, with the last Kim Si-Min-Oh ships of the day, the floating Hamo mascot and the lights of the bridge. The fortress is quite big, with lanterns, monuments and the national museum of Jinju.
